Hello everyone! My name is Ben and I was born March 10, 2008. I have Cystic Fibrosis and Short Gut. This is all about me and my determination to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.
I was born with a blockage in my small intestine. This caused a large part of the intestine to twist. When I was 12 hours old I underwent surgery to remove the bad parts. I have about 40-50cm of good intestine remaining plus a healthy ileocecal valve. On March 22, 2008 I was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis.

I think it was a great gift from you to let her come out with some of us girls on Friday - she really missed you, but had one heck of a time!
If you haven't bought her present yet and don't know what to get her, maybe you can buy her a gargantuan from Jimmy John's ;-) And you can please give her a big smooch from me!
I'm sorry I can't see you for a while, but the docs say with our compromised immune systems, we're just no good for each other. Maybe on Wednesday (which is your 6 month birthday!), mom & dad can get you a web cam and you can just call me from the computer! I'd love to hear you talk and see you smile.
Hang in there, get well, eat when you can, and I'm hoping to see you within 4-6 weeks (doctor's orders)!

28 is not old Kati Marie.... Wait till you hit your 40's. I remember the day you were born I was at school in gym class and I received a phone call, I was so excited.. I think I skipped the rest of the day..You are a wonderful neice and I am so proud of you. Have a wonderful Birthday..... I love you, Aunt Jane
