I have my own room at the hospital. I even have a TV, the first TV I have ever had at the hospital. Mom said she can finally have a taste of what is going on in the world. I watched Ellen with her yesterday. Mom cried the first night she had to leave me in that room because the doors to my room have to remain closed to prevent infections (there are all sorts of children on 5 west with upper respiratory bugs). She asked the nurses how they were going to hear me cry and they said they could put a baby monitor in my room and put the receiver outside in the hallway. I am glad she asked because I hate to be without my pacifier for too long. Dr. Nasr comes to see me almost everyday and I sure do like her. I have an upper GI scheduled for today. I will drink some barium and they will do various x-rays to see how my intestines are doing. I am off of antibiotics as of yesterday so that is good. Once the doctors get the results from the GI study they will start to increase my feeds if everything is looking good. They are going to go very slow with my feeds this time. Dr. Nasr said I better behave :)

Baby Ben,
Bamma Beth and Papa John are home now. We got in late last night from our motorcycle trip to Arkansas. When you get bigger you can ride with Papa to the park and play. We miss you tons. Give Mommy and Daddy a big hug and kiss for us and we'll see you soon sweetie.

Good Morning Beautiful Benjamin,
So glad you are in your own room and you can enjoy this time with your mommy. Next time you watch Ellen, ask mommy to dance with you - Ellen loves to dance. Dancing is fun and will make you smile. Keep up the good work and listen to Dr. Nasr so you will grow stronger every day. We love you bunches. God Bless you and mommy and daddy too. Grandma Carol & Papa Phil X0X0X0X0X0
Ben I am so glad to hear that you are in your own room. You are in my prayers daily. I look at your blog daily.
Love and Kisses

Oh Peanut Butter,
Your mother sure does like Ellen. Have her dance like Ellen does every episode. That will make you smile! I miss you tons and can't wait to see you soon! Keep up the good work. I don't know if you know this or not, but you are Emma's only cousin, and she is so excited about meeting you soon, so get better quick! Also, Emma keeps talking about your dad, she keeps saying I see uncle Chris, which is surprising because she use to be scared of him. You will love her when you meet her. She is funny, and says some random stuff. Love you lots. Love, Auntie Annie!
Baby Ben, We check on you often and are glad to hear you are doing better.Hopefully you will be home soon. Give our love to your parents. All of you are so special. Love Great Aunt and Uncle AM and Gary.
Hey Ben,
Keep up the good work. I am sure the GI results will be great. Enjoy the TV. We miss you tons! We will be in Michigan in a couple of weeks and can't wait to see you again. Prayers and love!

Benjamin,
It sure was fun hanging out with you and your mommy yesterday. I can't believe how fast the time went. I was so happy I got to feed you and snuggle with you. When you smiled at me I wanted to just eat you up, (you are the cutest little baby ever). I love you sooooo much. Great Aunt Jane
P.S. Remember to tell your mommy to make sure when you have company to tell the nurses to turn the monitor off so they don't listen to everything. They must of got a pretty good laugh at your mom and I yesterday because we had a pretty good conversation going and who knows what we said. Kati, this better make you laugh, I'm still laughing after your phone call......
Hi Ben,
So you finally made it to 5 west! Well, they are all really nice over there and once they know you are a patient of Dr. Nasr's you'll receive the the best treatment ever! Don't hesistate to cause trouble...that will keep them on there toes! It sounds like you are doing better and I'm so glad to hear that! When you finally get to go home make sure they take your picture and post it on the wall! Mine is still there from when I was 6 months old. We will be very well remembered...your parents sound a lot like mine and don't let many things slip by!
P.S. I had an Upper GI and it doesn't taste great, but it's not awful...be sure to throw a little drama in for fun! Remember we have to show them we are still in charge!:)
Keep up the good fight and stay strong!
Your friend, Cameron

Hey there handsome!
Yeah about the move and so glad you get to watch Ellen with your Mommy. We watch it too and will think of you both laughing at the table dance. Thanks for the blog updates as we think of you and your folks daily.
Love the Rapsons
Hi Ben,
Uncle Norman here. I am so glad you have your own room, and especially that t.v. I think about you every day and all my friends at Delta are praying for you and your Mom and Dad. Some of them are new Mommy's and Daddy's so they understand. You take care and hugs to everyone.
Love you,
Uncle Norman
Oh Ben! You crack us up. Having your own room is a pretty cool thing. We are glad to hear that you are doing better, even if you have to be living in that awful University of Michigan place. Yuck. We hope that you can come home soon so that Mommy and Daddy can take you places. Take care, Kari, Brian and Anna
